DOJ to Provide Short Term Remedy for CURES 2.0 Concerns

In response to concerns raised by the California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA) and other stakeholders, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has agreed to a short-term solution to prevent thousands of Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System (CURES) prescribers and dispensers from losing access with the anticipated launch of CURES 2.0. DOJ has committed to keeping the current version of CURES accessible for users until January 2016, and will test the new version in a real world setting with a small group before phasing in more users over the next few months.
