About Us

Founded in 1912 the California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA), headquartered in Sacramento, CA,  is a professional association dedicated to the service and assistance of Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPMs) and their patients in California. CPMA represents its members on issues of legislation and regulatory affairs, medical economics and education, public health, and ethical and legal issues. The California Podiatric Medical Association advocates for podiatric physicians and their patients to promote the public health, ensure the highest standards of podiatric medical practice, and to enhance the quality and availability of foot health care in the Golden State.

Podiatric Medicine is a Healing Art

Our Mission

"It is the Mission of the California Podiatric Medical Association to promote, advance, and protect the specialty of podiatric medicine, to preserve the rights of the patients it serves with integrity, equity, and justice, and to seek continuous improvement in the quality of patient treatment and care."

Our Vision

ALL Peoples of California should have access to quality life and limb saving podiatric foot and ankle medical treatment provided by podiatric physicians - THE Foot and Ankle Specialists!

Our Physician Members

All practicing podiatirc physician members of the California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA) are licensed by the state of California. California licensure requires rigorous education and training in science and medicine, successfully passing demanding examinations, and continuous education and training after licensure.  CPMA Members are obligated to follow a strict professional code of ethics set forth by The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). As members of CPMA, podiatric physicians are afforded many benefits on both the state and national level.  CPMA and APMA provide members with a cohesive platform from which to advocate for podiatric physicians on all issues affecting foot and ankle health nationally and in California.

Our Chapters

The Power of Three. CPMA membership is unified, which means members belong to the national organization APMA (American Podiatric Medical Association), the California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA) and to their appropriate CPMA chapter.
