In Memoriam: Franklin Kase, DPM, FACFAS, FACPM, FAAPSM

With a broken heart, we at CPMA announce the passing of Dr. Franklin Kase, who lost his courageous battle against glioblastoma on Saturday, March 4, 2023. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. Dr. Kase is survived by his wife Beth, daughters Alison and Marissa, their children, extended family, and a forever grateful Association.

The word Giant is too small to describe either Dr. Kase’s personality or his accomplishments in and for podiatry. And, this space is far too small to even begin to name his many achievements, awards and credentials. The upcoming issue of CPMA’s member magazine The California Podiatric Physician will feature an article on Dr. Kase. In addition, the 2023 California Podiatric Medical Association’s House of Delegates (June 21) and the 2023 Western Foot and Ankle Conference (June 22-25), both at the Disneyland Hotel and Convention Center, will each convene in honor of Dr. Kase. There will also be a Celebration of Dr. Kase's extraordinary life at the 2023 House of Delegates (HOD).
